Medical Doctor (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) – Most of the Celo Health Center Doctors are MD,MPH or medical doctors with master degrees in public health.
Nurse Practitioners (NP) – Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses who are prepared through advanced education and clinical training to provide preventive and acute health care services to individuals of all ages. Today, most NP’s complete graduate-level education that leads to a master’s degree. They work independently and collaboratively on the health care team.
Physician Assistant (PA) – Physician assistants work in all areas of medicine, including primary care and family medicine, emergency medicine, and psychiatry. Physician assistants, also known as PAs, practice medicine on teams with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare workers. They examine, diagnose, and treat patients.
Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) -A Certified Nurse Midwife works with women who have relatively low-risk pregnancies—from prenatal visits through labor and delivery. They can provide care after the pregnancy, too, counseling new mothers.
